I am glad to see that Democratic women are active in Berkeley County! All who support Democratic ideas and policies need to get active once again because those who wish to destroy our country are on the move. Big corporations doing business overseas, huge banks that nearly wrecked our economy before, and the war machine want to take over the government. Don't let the GOP and their tea party minions fool you into thinking otherwise. They aren't looking out for the middle class and for the USA, but for themselves!

Glad to see that the Dem Women of Berkeley County are now on FACEBOOK, and to know that we have such good Democratic candidates for governor. It is very hard to decide who will get my vote! I'm looking forward to our local reception on April 29 so I can speak with each one personally. Spring is coming!

The snow is soft and quiet and reminds us that beautiful things lie underneath awaiting spring. We should take this time to renew our commitment to our beloved United States and West Virginia. Democratic Party ideals helped make this country great and it is up to us to make sure they continue to do so for our children's and grandchildren's sakes.

Happy Holidays to everyone! The Women's Club Membership Tea was such a treat, the hosts' home was simply gorgeous, and it was very encouraging to see so many people join or re-join the organization. Next year promises to be a great one for all of us.

While our local candidates did not fare well in this backlash tsunami against our party, it is now time to renew our commitment to the Democratic party and its ideals. WE are the party of the PEOPLE, not of corporations, special interests and wedge issues. We must turn back the onslaught of misleading and false propaganda and remind the people who is really on their side. Thanks to all of our candidates who gave so much to their campaigns. You are all winners in my book!
